Problem Solving

Whether the problem is hardware or software related I can sort it out and get you back up and running, I will diagnose your fault over the phone and advise you of how long it is likely to take and how much the job will cost including parts if applicable. I always like to leave the machine on site whenever possible, half of the time I never remove any machine for repair in the workshop.

Upgrades

If your machine is suffering from a lack of Memory or Hard Disk space, I can upgrade your current machine, extra storage can also be fitted like DVD RW / CDRW Drives, USB Hard Drives and any other peripherals you may require.

Part Fitting

Experiencing problems installing a piece of hardware or software that you have bought elsewhere, if their help desk isn't very helpful then I can help by fitting the item for you and providing you with a working machine, if the offending item is faulty I will provide a fault description that you can take back to your supplier to help get a refund / exchange.

Preventative Maintenance

Making sure your machine runs smoothly and reliably is vital for any business and serious PC user, I offer a preventative maintenance contract to help achieve this. We will attend your site every 4 months for one year and clean out your machine of dust, check your hard disk for errors and problems, remove any unneeded files that may be slowing your machine up, run diagnostics and give the machine a good look over. This typically takes around an hour per machine and will help to prevent errors from appearing before they start to cause you problems.

Out Of Hours Calls

My normal hours of business are 9.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, I do however provide an out of hours call out service for users who are not available during the day, these calls are charged at a slightly higher rate and usually available at short notice

Broadband Installation

If you are thinking of changing your Internet to broadband give me a call and I will arrange to drop round to your house to discuss the best possible ISP for your needs. There are lots of different options available including Wireless

Desktop PC & Laptop Setup

If you are thinking of buying a new computer or have already bought one, I can help you set up the system correctly and install the relevant software including Anti Virus & Adaware. Some people even give me a call to unpack and setup all the leads, to avoid any miss configuration

Virus & Spyware Removal

You may not even know your system is infected with either a Virus or Spyware if you do not have protection installed. Typically symptoms are your computer taking a long time to start up and becoming unresponsive. Free software can be download from the internet to scan and remove any problems. I typically use AVAST Anti Virus, AVG ANTI VIRUS and Adaware Spyware remover which seem to do a good job!
